Ginny is passionate about face painting! Although majoring in Biology in college and working as a Life Science Teacher for years, Ginny now draws inspiration for her painting from the beauty she has studied in the natural world. Whether painting dramatic full faces or delicate cheek art, her work captures the details of animals, insects, birds and flowers. And as a teacher, Ginny can't help sharing some fascinating natural history facts about the designs she is painting!
She has passed the international face painting certification test through FACE and is a member of a several professional face painting associations. She has won numerous awards for original designs she has created for on-line competitions involving face painters from around the world.
As a mother of five, she loves children and takes joy in helping each one put a "face" on their imaginations! She specializes in supporting theme parties with her paintings - be it superheroes, pirates or princesses - and also enjoys holiday designs for all seasons. She has a large repertoire of designs and depending on the detail, can paint about 10-15 faces per hour.
Ginny has been painting faces in the Charlottesville, VA area for over three years. She paints faces for the University of Virginia events include pre-game events at Alumni Hall and is in high demand as a face painter for birthdays held each weekend at the nationally recognized ACAC fitness clubs. She has recently been approved as a face painter for Royal Caribbean Cruise lines. Her other clients range in size from large corporations like State Farm Insurance to small private birthday parties.
Although called a face painter, Ginny also paints hands, arms and bellies and now offers glitter tattoos and henna designs as well.
